The Terrazzo Steps Quilt Pattern was inspired by the gorgeous sparkling marble composite flooring found in the beautiful buildings of the early 20th century, such as the Empire State Building. Because this architectural element was once very popular for the use of stairs, it seemed fitting to form the design into a large “step” using a central chevron motif.
